SHELSLEY WALSH HILL CLIMB TIMING PARTNER

In 2019, timing is everything for MHD Watches, who are proud to announce their partnership as Official Timing Partners to Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb

Centered around the sport of Hill Climbing, Shelsley Walsh is one of the oldest motorsport events in the world. Since 12th August 1905 Shelsley Walsh has been attracting world famous drivers through the ages such as Campbell, Segrave, Caracciola, Bira, Collins, and Stuck, all of whom carved their sporting careers hurtling up the 1,000 yard, 1 in 6 gradient track. In recent years John Surtees, Sir Stirling Moss, Andy Priaulx, Derek Bell and Hans-Joachim Stuck have driven the famous Shelsley Walsh tarmac that is nestled in amongst one of Britain’s most quintessential countryside locations in the rolling hills of Worcestershire.

Head of MH Design and long time petrol head, Matthew Humphries, has a close connection with Shelsley having grown up just around the corner as well as having raced there in the past. Quoted by Matthew… “I see Shelsley Walsh as the birth place of British motorsport and there is no better place in the UK to come see such a huge variety of modern, classic and vintage machines in one location. I find this variety of machines a great inspiration for car and watch design work.”

In 2019, seven weekends of competition will take place at Shelsley Walsh ranging from test days to the fastest single seaters battling against the MHD clock for points in the British Hill Climb Championship Top 12 Run Offs.

Finally, We couldn’t think of a better way to spend our weekends, than timing impressive and powerful racing cars that launch up the hill at Shelsley Walsh. We hope to see you all at some of meetings throughout 2019 at Shelsley Walsh (see below).
